CfEE Webinar: Occupational Pathways in the Applied Science and Technology Sector for People with Disabilities

This month’s webinar highlights Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC’s (ASTTBC) new project, which aims to create pathways for persons with disabilities to technical occupations.

ASTTBC has consulted with employers, people with disabilities and other stakeholders on strategies to support occupational pathways for persons with disabilities interested in the applied science and engineering sector, a sector that is facing a significant skills shortage of over 31,000 workers over the next ten years and is looking for new talent pools to address this labour market supply gap.

John Coward and Jacqueline de Raadt address the long term skills shortage in BC, ASTTBC’s labour market plan initiative, and supports to employers in developing and implementing diverse and inclusive workplaces.
