Bridging program connects small businesses and foreign educated immigrants

There are many programs that help new immigrants enter the job market but the Bridging Program for Internationally Educated Professionals at York University specifically focuses on working with small businesses to hire newcomers.

Andrey Bolgov, a recent immigrant who came to Canada with a wealth of professional work experience expected to work for a large Canadian company. The program taught him about the differences between Canadian companies and the foreign companies for which he had worked. He learned how Canadian workplaces operate and how to adapt his resume and interview techniques to better match what businesses are looking for.
