New research study: Skill Requirements for BC’s Career Development Practitioners

The BC Centre for Employment Excellence has commissioned Dr. Roberta Neault and Ms. Deirdre Pickerell of Life Strategies Ltd. to undertake a research study to produce a skills profile of BC employment and career development practitioners.

As part of the Centre’s mandate to enhance the knowledge and skill development of those working within the employment services sector, the study is designed to help the Centre and its stakeholders understand the current skill requirements and opportunities for professional development that exist in the province. The project involves an online survey as well as regional focus groups in January and February 2013. Your contribution is essential to making this study a success.

The research findings of this study, as well as the environmental scan of the BC employment services sector, will be presented at the BC Career Development Association’s annual conference in March 2013, and the final reports of both projects will be posted on the Centre’s website.
