The IASE is a not-for-profit organization established in 1994 to promote supported employment in Ireland. The IASE promotes supported employment at a national level, to job seekers, employers, disability and other services, policy makers and the general public.
The IASE website provides a range of resources, best practices, conferences and training events, handbooks and toolkits to practitioners, job seekers, and employers. In a number of instances it has partnered with the European Union and others to develop resources to promote and support the supported employment model in Ireland and other areas of Europe. For instance, it was part of a pan-European project to develop a handbook and guide for supported employment professionals called the European Union of Supported Employment Toolkit, which is available as a free download from the IASE website.
Although the website is targeted at an Irish audience, BC practitioners and employers who are interested in learning more about supported employment will find the many free resources on the site helpful in promoting and implementing the model in their practice.
